Palmetto Missions, the missions work of Palmetto Church of Christ, is sponsoring the sale of a 550 recipe cookbook.  This book, Gingo Grub is hardback, 3-ring binder that will last for years. All proceeds will help to support the kitchen in Meloloa, Honduras where 200 children are fed a hot meal everyday. We are proud to present this cookbook to aid in our mission work in Honduras.  To purchase a cookbook, you may contact Kathi at 781-3785 or the church office at 781-0909.  You may view our mission work at www.handsofhopeforhonduras.org.  The cost of the cookbook is $$15.

Opening a christian coffee house open to everyone. It's a place to fellowship and grow closer to our Lord. It will be every Friday night. We offer a place to be besides the bars and hanging out with all the Rowdy people. There will be free coffee and snacks, music and just some quite time to be with the Lord and other christians.  The Coffee House is sponsored by Calvary Community Church. It's located at the church which is at 2546 Main Street In Elgin. It's next to the Panda Wok.

The summer heat and the celebration of  our nation’s independence culminate into a community  volunteering and working together.  In Gilbert, South Carolina, on July 4^th that means the Lexington County Peach Festival in the Gilbert Community Park.    Since 1958, the festival has been a celebration of community and country, and has grown to provide a variety of entertainment at three park stages throughout the day along with a Revolutionary War re-enactment, a parade at 9:30 a.m., and a fireworks display to end the day at 10:30 p.m.   Also available for a fee are children’s rides, arts and crafts, and concessions.  The Gilbert Community Club, sponsor of the festival, raises funds through the sale of concessions that include peach ice cream, peach cobbler, peach sundaes, peach tea, BBQ dinners, BBQ and chicken sandwiches, hamburgers, hotdogs, and ice cold soft drinks.

Please make plans to attend the Good Living Marketplace this Saturday, March 7th from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm in the heart of downtown Hartsville.

Over 60 vendors will have booths at the Marketplace, including the delicious produce and other food items from Ovis Hill Farms and McLeod Farms.

Artistisans from the SC Cotton Trail will be featured this month.

There will be a community food drive for Hartsville Interfaith Ministries at the Marketplace to collect food for the needy in our midst.  Please bring canned food/non-perishable items to the H.I.M. booth.  Items in most demand are peanut butter, jelly, sugar, grits and flour.
